Phyllis Ann Kosharek, age 76, of Marion, passed away at 8:35am on Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion.
Phyllis was born in Marion on March 15, 1937, the daughter of Mildred (Sandlin) and Wendell “Hawk” Pulley. She married John Kyler “Jack” Kosharek on March 22, 2004 in Scott City, Missouri. He preceded her in death on September 21, 2009.
Mrs. Kosharek was a member of the Disciples of Christ Christian Church in Marion. She was a retired school teacher and counselor.
She is survived by her Aunt- Betty Burns of Marion Aunt and Uncle- Jeannine and Bill Stapleton of Marion Two Step-Sons; Keith Kosharek of Bloomington Kevin Kosharek of Bloomington Several Cousins
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, uncle- Gerald Sandlin, and five aunts- Mai Bock, Verai Markham, Mildred Pulley, Gladys Craver, and Ruby Arterbury.
Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. on Monday, October 21, 2013 at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion with Rev. Bill Rucker officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from Noon until the time of service on Monday at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home.
