Phyllis J. Ginther

Fairfield- Phyllis J. (Newlin) Ginther, 50, of Fairfield, formerly of Herrin, passed away at 1:30 AM, Sunday, April 22, 2007 at Fairfield Memorial Hospital. Phyllis was born on Christmas Day 1956 to Amos & Betty (Mitchell) Newlin. She married David Ginther on September 6, 2001 in Olney. He survives of Fairfield. Mrs. Ginther worked as a special education coordinator for the West Frankfort School District. Survivors include: Husband- David Ginther of Fairfield Daughter- Tawny Hall of Johnsonville, IL Daughter & son in law- Susie & Randall Jolly of Fairfield Daughter- Caley Ginther of Fairfield Daughter- Tessie Ginther of Fairfield Grandchildren- Craig, Lance, Braden, Elijah, Jessica, Jocelyn & Jaden Father & mother in law- Keith & Carolyn Ginther of Bone Gap, IL Sister in law & brother in law- Kevin & Susie Melcom of Olney Brother in law & sister in law- Jerry & Brenda Ginther of Danvers, IL Several nieces & nephews She was preceded in death by her parents & one sister. The memorial service will be held at 1:30 PM, Friday, April 27, 2007 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin. Rev. Michael Neubert will officiate. Inurnment will follow at East Lawn Memorial Gardens in Herrin. A memorial gathering will be held from 5-8:00 PM, Thursday, April 26, 2007 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral home in Herrin. Memorial donations are suggested to the American Heart Association or the Herrin First Presbyterian Church.
