Phyllis "Elaine" Motsinger

Phyllis "Elaine" Motsinger, age 83, of Marion, Illinois, passed away Wednesday, March 9, 2022 at her home in rural Marion, Illinois.

Phyllis was born February 12, 1939 in Marion, Illinois, a daughter of Riley Baynard and Mary Ruth (James) Proctor. She married JD Motsinger on May 01, 1959 in Marion, IL. Elaine worked at Crab Orchard School as a Lunch Time Aid. She and her husband loved to travel and go camping.

She is survived by her husband JD Motsinger of Marion, IL; one daughter, Tammy L. (Mike) Winner of Marion, IL; brother, Jim Proctor of Murphyboro, IL; and four brother-in-laws, Kenny Keyser of Marion, IL, Ken Dennis of Mansfield, MO, and Jerry King of Marion, IL, Gordon (Nancy) Motsinger. She is preceded in death by her parents Riley Baynard and Mary Ruth Proctor, one grandchild, Trevor H. Grizzell; and four sisters, Janette Proctor, Lee Dennis, Nancy Keyser, and Patty King; father & mother-in-law Herman & Ruth Motsinger.

Visitation will be Monday, March 14th, 2022 from 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM at Mitchell Hughes Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held Monday, March 14, 2022, 11:00 AM at Mitchell Hughes Funeral Home with Rev. Ivan Ryan officiating. Burial will follow at Shed Church Cemetery in Marion.
