Phyllis Pohlers

Phyllis M. Pohlers, 85, passed away on Sunday, April 20, 2008 at 1:52 P.M. at Friendship Care Center in Herrin. Phyllis was born February 23, 1923 in Joliet the daughter of Ben & Bernice (Hershburger) Morris. She married John Pohlers on March 12, 1948 in Joliet and together they have shared over 60 years of marriage. Phyllis was a homemaker and a member of Third Baptist Church. She loved the Lord with all her heart; and her aim in life was to please him. She is survived by her: Husband John Pohlers of Marion Grandchild Michelle Yeager and husband Cale of Joliet Grandchild Leif Morgan of Joliet Three Great Grandchildren; Andrew Yeager, Joshua Yeager and Corey Yeager all of Joliet Great Great Granddaughter Emily Yeager of Joliet Brother Tom Morris of Joliet Preceded by Her Parents, Daughter Barbara Pohlers, Son James Pohlers, Two Brothers Phillip & Warren Morris Private graveside services will be held at East Lawn Memorial Gardens with Rev. Scott Kallem officiating. Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion will be assisting the family. Memorials are suggested to Third Baptist Church Building Fund.
