Rachel G. Gaddis

Creal Springs- Rachel G. Gaddis, age 81, of Creal Springs, passed away at 5:35pm on Friday, October 19, 2007 at Heartland Regional Medical Center. Rachel was born in Creal Springs on June 9, 1926, the daughter of William and Grace (Rich) Newbold. She married James Gaddis on March 3, 1949 in Crown Point, Indiana. They shared forty-two years of marriage until his passing on June 9, 1991. Survivors include- Two Daughters- Grace and John Galvin of Plano, TX Jamie and Donny Sadler of Princeton, TX Three Grandchildren- Tina Pope of Plano, TX Billy Dulap of Princeton, TX Kyle Dulap of Princeton, TX Two Great Grandchildren- Nikki Sammons of Plano, TX Michael Sammons of Plano, TX Four Brothers- Howard Newbold of Creal Springs, IL Sam and Sue Newbold of St. Louis, MO Carol and Francis Newbold of Creal Springs, IL James Newbold of Lake Station, IN One sister- Bonnie Holmes of Creal Springs, IL Several nieces and nephews Rachel was preceded in death by her parents, her husband- James, and nine brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be held at 1:30pm on Monday, October 22, 2007 at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion, with Rev. Shorty Alsip officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Marion.
