Rachel Kella Rancilio

Energy- Rachel Kella Rancilio, 95, of Energy, formerly of Marion, passed away at 4:30 AM, Wednesday, April 8, 2009 at Helia Healthcare in Energy. Rachel was born on March 24, 1914 in Herrin to Charles & Emma (Cislaghi) Marlow. She married Eugene Jim Rancilio on October 3, 1941 in Herrin. He preceded her in death on January 7, 1977. She retired as a bookkeeper from Sohns in Herrin. She was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Herrin. She was a great cook and seamstress and enjoyed playing cards with friends. Rachel was a member of the Blitz Club and the Daughters of Isabella. Most of her free time was spent with her grandchildren and sister. Survivors include- Son- James Rancilio & wife Paula of Lisle, IL Grandchildren: Kerri Webb & husband Lee of Marion Kirk Doughty & wife Tricia of Herrin Kara Gallagher & husband Andy of Oswego, IL Jeff Rancilio of Chicago Great Grandchildren: Brokton & Karlee Webb Konnor & Grant Doughty Riley & Brendan Gallagher Several Nieces & nephews She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter- Karla Doughty, grandson- Kon Doughty, brother- Oreste Rusty Marlow & sister- Delene Chiaventone. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, April 13, 2009 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin. Monsignor Ken Schaefer will officiate. Burial will follow at San Carlo Cemetery in Herrin. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until time of service, Monday, at the funeral home.
