Ray Bell

Marion-Ray, 98, died 4:30 A.M., Monday, July 31, 2006 at Fountains Nursing Care Center in Marion. Ray was born January 8, 1908 at Grassy Township in Williamson County to Abner & Hattie Elizabeth (Treece) Bell. He was a retired coal miner and a member of Scottsboro Baptist Church. Survivors Include: Two Sons and Daughter-In-Laws: Harold & Lois Bell of West Frankfort Jerry & Kay Bell of Benton Grandchildren: Beverly Reed & husband Randy of West Frankfort Ray C. Bell & wife Cindi of Marion Jerry Joe Bell & wife Cathy of Benton Lisa Susanne Bell of Benton Seven Great Grandchildren He was preceded in death by his parents, wife & mother of his children, Kathlyn (Durall) Bell, brother, Olen Bell and one sister Cecil Fisher. Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, August 2, 2006 at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home with Rev. Kenneth Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Marion. Visitation will be 9:00 to 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Scottsboro Baptist Church or to Hospice of Southern Illinois.
