Raymond W. Taylor

Herrin- Raymond Wilbert Taylor, 54, of Marengo, OH, formerly of Herrin, died at 10:24 PM, Sunday, July 14, 2002 as a result of injuries received in an automobile accident in Marengo, OH. Raymond was born on November 23, 1947 in Herrin to Chester W. & Hazel M. (Williams) Taylor. He moved to Marengo in 1999 and worked as an auto mechanic for Bill's Auto. He enjoyed fishing, telling stories, and spending time with his family. SURVIVORS: Son- Robert Taylor- Marengo, OH Son & dtr in law- Dennis & Stacy Powell- Glenwood, WV Daughter- Hazel Taylor- Elyria, OH Daughter- Rhonda Saum- Marengo, OH Eleven Grandchildren Brother & sister in law- Donald & Janice Taylor Brother- Robert Taylor Sisters- all of Herrin Shirley Godeck Judy Holderfield Murl Carbtree Loudean Gee Doris Taylor Paula Copher He was preceded in death by his parents, one son; Leonard Ray Taylor on May 10, 2002, one brother; Earl Taylor, and two sisters; Caroline Gaillard and Maxine Wright. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, July 22, 2002 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin. Rev. Manuel Jackson will officiate. Burial will follow at Herrin City Cemetery.
