Reathel Nicholson

Reathel Nicholson, 92, passed away on Sunday, June 17, 2012 at 10 P.M. at her home in Marion. Reathel was born September 29, 1919 in Williamson County the daughter of Troy and Rozetta (Smith) Williams. She married Joe Henry Nicholson in Jackson, Missouri on December 6, 1938 and together they shared over 53 years of marriage until his death on February 22, 1992. She was a member of Freedom Freewill Baptist Church. Reathel was formerly an active member of the Rebekah Lodge #93, Eastern Star Leroy Chapter #350 O.E.S. She had worked as a cook in the kitchen at the 1st Baptist Church during church socials. Survivors include; Daughter Nolagene Adams and husband Lewis of Lakewood, Colorado Grandson William Joseph Adams and wife Beverly of Lakewood, Colorado Great Granddaughter Jennifer Lynn Adams of Lakewood, Colorado Step Great Grandson Steven Kot of Thorton, Colorado Great Great Grandchild Eli J. Ribble of Lakewood, Colorado Sister Lorene Spencer of Kevil, Kentucky Several great nieces and nephews Preceded by her Parents, Husband Joe Henry Nicholson, Three Brothers and Five Sisters. Funeral services will be 11 A.M. on Thursday, June 21, 2012 at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home with Rev. Ed Krantz officiating. Burial will follow in Maplewood Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 5 to 8 P.M. at the funeral home.
