Rebecca Rose Handkins

Pittsburg- Rebecca Rose Handkins, 88, of Pittsburg, died at 7:05 A.M., Wednesday, November 14, 2001 at Marion Memorial Hospital. Rebecca was born on June 16, 1913 in Williamson County, IL to Aud & Lora Mae (Turner) Parks. She married William M. Handkins on July 10, 1937 in Perryville, MO. He survives of Pittsburg. Mrs. Handkins was a homemaker and cared for her family. She was a member of Center Baptist Church in Crab Orchard. SURVIVORS: Husband- William M. Handkins- Pittsburg Dau & Son in law- Audrey Mae & Alan Biby- Mulkeytown Sister- Irene Blue- Marion, IL She was preceded in death by her parents, one son; Roger David Handkins, one sister; Ruth Teal, and one brother; Randal Parks. The funeral service will be at 2:00 PM, Saturday, November 17, 2001 at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion. Rev. Roger Teal will officiate. Burial will follow at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Marion. Visitation will be from 12 Noon until the time of service Saturday at the funeral home.
