Marion- RENEE BLACKFORD, age 46, of Marion, passed away at 11:30pm on Monday, December 13, 2010 at her home. Renee was born in Marion on November 1, 1964, the daughter of Reed and Barbara L. (Deaton) Gower. She attended the Orient Church of Christ. Survivors include her daughter- Christina Blackford and Randy Zachary of Marion, IL Daughter- Sarah Barnard and John Kelso of Orient, IL Two grandchildren- Alyssa Barnard and Dylan Zachary Brother- Gene Allen of Marion, IL Sister- Kathy Allen of Marion, IL Several nieces and nephews Close Friend- Jed Owsley of Orient, IL She was preceded in death by her parents and step-father- Tim Clark, her significant other- Robert Barnard, and brother- Darrel Gower. Funeral services will be held at 7pm on Wednesday, December 15, 2010 at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion with Rev. Ed Poole officiating. Visitation will be held from 4-7pm on Wednesday evening at the funeral home. Graveside services will be held at 10am on Thursday, December 16, 2010 at Rose Hill Cemetery.
