Herrin- Rev. Jack D. Huff, 57, of Herrin, passed away at 11:13 PM, Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at Select Specialty Hospital in Evansville, IN, surrounded by his family.
Jack was born on January 11, 1959 in Marion, IL to Ulysses and Emma Imogene (Hill) Huff, Jr. He married Billie Benz on June 9, 1979 in Herrin. She survives of Herrin.
He was a self-employed auctioneer and formerly owned and operated Grandma Helen’s Restaurant in Energy and Jack’s Concessions in Herrin. He was a member of Pentecostals of Southern Illinois in Carterville and former member of West Monroe Apostolic Church in Herrin.
Jack was a member of the Blue Heron Marina. He was instrumental in helping build and establish a Bible College in Sautillo, Mexico.

Mother- Emma Imogene Huff Willmore and husband Glen of Herrin
Brother- Walter “Gene” Huff and wife Nelda Ridlen of Herrin
Caregiver- Cris Cletcher of Herrin
Nephew- Jeremiah Huff and wife Jamie of Princeton, IN
Niece- Tiffany Smith and husband Nathan of Crab Orchard
Great Nephew- Kaleb Huff of Princeton, IN
Great Niece- Kaylan Huff of Princeton, IN
Several aunts, uncles and cousins
Two fur babies- Molly and Snickers
He was preceded in death by his father, grandparents, and brother- Earl “Butch” Huff.
The funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at West Monroe Apostolic Church in Herrin. Rev. Adam Mach, Rev. Terry Griffith and Rev. Don Colson will officiate. Entombment will follow at Egyptian Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Monday, June 6, 2016 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin.
