Marion- Richard Duane Parker, 50, of Marion, formerly of Crab Orchard, passed away at 9:37 AM, Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at his home.
Richard was born on December 18, 1967 in Joliet to Glen Leslie and Charlene (Schram) Parker. He married Sheila Jennings in Marion.
He was a jack of all trades. He was mechanically inclined and a skilled carpenter who loved helping anyone who needed it. Richard was a compassionate man who would give you the shirt off his back and often performed his work at no charge-.
In his spare time, he enjoyed watching NASCAR events and was a fan of the Chicago Cubs.

He was preceded in death by his father, grandparents and several aunts and uncles.
A memorial graveside service will be held at a 2 pm on Friday, March 30, 2018 officiated by Jim Lambert at Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Arrangements were made at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion.
