Herrin- Richard Del Keeling, 39, of Herrin, died at 9:11 PM, Sunday, January 29, 2012 at Herrin Hospital from injuries sustained as a result of a motorcycle accident.
Del was born on September 4, 1972 in Herrin to Robert and Judy (Small) Keeling. He went to grade school in Herrin and high school in Marion. He was also a member of the Civil Air Patrol. He married Jacqueline White on December 5, 2000 at their family home in Herrin. Del formerly co-owned Fred Small Auto Parts in Herrin and was currently the parts manager at Ron Ward in Herrin. He also owned and operated A-OK Seamless guttering in Herrin. He was a member of the Herrin VFW Auxiliary.
He was an avid pet lover who was known for taking in stray dogs and a NASCAR fan who followed the success and failures of Dale Sr. and Dale Jr. He had a sense of adventure and an infectious personality. He truly enjoyed riding motorcycles, especially going on poker runs with his wife Jacie and drag racing on the weekends with his friends. He will be dearly missed by all those that knew and loved him.

Niece- Rebecca Pearson and husband Kevin of Cambria
Niece- Jessica Bloodworth and husband Dustin of Herrin

He was preceded in death by his father, maternal grandparents- Fred and Hazel Small, and paternal grandfather- Bill Keeling.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, February 3, 2012 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin. Rev. Don Colson will officiate. Visitation will be from 5-8:00 PM, Thursday, February 2, 2012 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin.
