Richard W. Hanks, 68, passed away on Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at 5:17 P.M. at Heartland Regional Medical Center.
Richard was born March 12, 1943 in Marion the son of Alonzo and Mary (Klope) Hanks.
He was a member of the Marion Eagles and Richard retired from the Livestock Barn in Goreville where he had worked for 16 years. The things he enjoyed most were farming and spending time with his family.

Companion Nelle Terry of Goreville

Richard L. Hanks and wife Karen of Texas
Allen Hanks and wife Lorie of Texas
Roger Hanks and wife Kathy of Texas
Preceded by his Parents
Funeral services will be Friday, December 30, 2011 at 3 P.M. at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home with Rev. Shorty Alsip officiating. Burial will follow in Worley Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 1 P.M. until the time of service at the funeral home.
