Robert A. Kerley

Marion- ROBERT ALAN KERLEY, age 47, of Terre Haute, IN, formerly of Marion, passed away at 10:00pm on Tuesday August 2, 2011 at the Veteran's Hospital in Danville. Robert was born in Marion on September 10, 1963, the son of Marion J. and Wanda (Sims) Kerley. At the age of fourteen, he moved to Steamboat Springs, CO where he spent the best years of his life. It was in Colorado where he joined the United States Army. After his proud service in the Army, he moved to Herrin where he worked at Maytag until their closing. Survivors include his mother- Wanda (Sims) Curlee of Terre Haute, IN Daughter- Cerrin Eldridge of Carbondale, IL Brother- Marion James Kerley of Terre Haute, IN Sister- Dena McCormick of Marion, IL He was preceded in death by his father- Marion J. Kerley and his brother- Anthony Wayne Kerley. Graveside services will be at 11am on Tuesday, August 9, 2011 at Maplewood Cemetery in Marion with Rev. Ivan Ryan officiating. Military honors will be presented by Marion's VFW and American Legion Posts and the National Guard Unit. Family and friends are asked to meet directly at the cemetery.
