Robert C. “Bobby” Mausey, Jr. 85, of Creal Springs went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, December 5, 2015 at 10:07 pm at Harrisburg Medical Center surrounded by his family.
Bobby was born September 25, 1930 in Pittsburg the son of Robert and Nell (Dorris) Mausey. He married Dola Doss on July 29, 1949 and together they have been blessed with over 66 years of marriage.
He was a member of the Arnold View Free Will Baptist Church, where he served as a Deacon for over 27 years. He attended Arnold View Grade School and graduated from Crab Orchard High School. He served as a precinct committeeman and 12 years as a board member for the Crab Orchard School District. Bobby worked at LB Price Mercantile, Marion Federal Penitentiary, Investors Diversified Services, and retired from the Brushy Creek Coal Mine. Bobby and Dola loved to fish and camp at Rend Lake with family members.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, December 9, 2015 at 11 am at Arnold View Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Ivan Ryan officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 5 – 8 pm at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home and from 10 am until the time of service on Wednesday at the church.
For those who prefer memorials may be made to the Arnold View Free Will Baptist Church or the Alzheimer’s Association. Envelopes will be available and accepted at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home, 800 North Market Street, Marion, Illinois 62959 and at the church on the day of the service.
