Robert L. "Bobby" McMichael

Robert L. Bobby McMichael, 78, passed away on Tuesday, September 2, 2008 at 9:10 P.M. at his home in Marion. Bobby was born March 30, 1930 the only child of William Lloyd and Grace (Richey) McMichael, helping to care for his mother until her death just a few short weeks ago on August 17, 2008. He was a member of 1st Baptist Church of Marion and had worked as bookkeeper for Farmers Produce, his parents business where they sold feed and John Deer farm equipment. Though handicapped all of his life, Bobby never let this get in his way of having a good time, he was always cheerful and a blessing to all of those who came in contact with him. He will be sorely missed in this community and by his family and friends who dearly loved him, but he will surely be a bright light in heaven and will be with his loving parents. Funeral services will be Saturday, September 6, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion with Dr. Bob Dickerson officiating. Entombment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday evening from 5:00 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. For those who prefer memorials may be made to the 1st Baptist Church or Coal Bank Springs Cemetery.
