Robert L. Mannie, Sr.

Herrin- ROBERT L. MANNIE SR, age 72, of Herrin, passed away at 12:25pm on Wednesday, March 25, 2009 at Herrin Hospital. Robert was born in Helena, Arkansas on July 22, 1936, the son of Tony and Sylvia (Rupert) Mannie. He married Jennet Thornton in Chicago on December 31, 1959. She survives in Herrin. Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm on Tuesday, March 31, 2009 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin with Rev. Brian Harrison officiating. Visitation will be held from 11am-1pm at the funeral home. Funeral services will be concluded with military honors provided by Marions VFW Post #1301, American Legion Post #147 and National Guard Unit.
