Robert Ray "Bob" Taylor

Hurst- ROBERT RAY BOB TAYLOR, age 66, of Hurst, passed away at 1:20pm on Friday, September 9, 2011 at his home in Hurst. Robert was born in Herrin on September 15, 1944, the son of Chester William and Hazel Marie (Williams) Taylor. He was a truck driver for Branch Trucking in Cleveland, Ohio, where he also owned two antique shops. Bob enjoyed fishing, camping and traveling. He was a very loving person and a great brother to all his sisters. Survivors include his six sisters- Imogene Pratt of Royalton, Loudean Gee of Herrin, Shirley Cobb of Hurst, Judy Holderfield of Bush, Murle Crabtree of Herrin, and Paula Copher of Orient. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers- Chester, Ray, Donald, Earl Taylor; three sisters- Maxine Wright, Carol Hendricks, Donna Taylor and two brother-in-laws- Ronnie Cobb and Dave Godec. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Judy Krasselt and nephew Carl Copher for the care given to Bob. Funeral services will be held at 1pm on Tuesday, September 13, 2011 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin with Rev. Don Colson officiating. Burial will follow at Herrin City Cemetery.
