Roberta E. Russell

Spillertown- ROBERTA E. RUSSELL, age 89, of Spillertown, passed away at 5:45AM on Saturday, September 23, 2006 at her residence in Spillertown. Roberta was born on October 29, 1916 in Spillertown, the daughter of William Pop and Amelia (Richards) Stroud. Mrs. Russell was retired from housekeeping at Marion memorial Hospital. She was a member of the Corner Stone Worship Center in Clarksville, TN, where her Grandson is the minister. Survivors include- Two Sons- James Sr. and Tammy Russell- West Frankfort, IL Terry Russell and Pam Rusher- Tunnel Hill, IL Daughter-In-Law- Glenda Russell- Spillertown, IL Five Grandchildren- James Jr. and Gayla Russell- Clarksville, TN Kevin and Debbie Crompton- Marion, IL Brady and LeNa Russell- Spillertown, IL Angie Russell- Spillertown, IL Sarah Russell- West Frankfort, IL Great Grandchildren- James III and Denise Russell- Tyler, TX Brittani Saylor- Herrin, IL Talley Saylor- Marion, IL Kelsey Crompton- Marion, IL Kaleb Crompton- Marion, IL Taylor Crompton- Marion, IL Great Great Grandchildren- Zander Saylor- Herrin, IL Reese Borders- Herrin, IL Several Nieces and Nephews Roberta was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers- Cecil and Earl Stroud, one infant brother- Monroe Stroud, and two sisters- Sadie Whitehead and Lillian Gooch and her dearest friend and niece- Roberta Lucille Stroud. A memorial service will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, September 28, 2006 at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion with Rev. Ed Martin and Roberta's grandson Pastor Jimmy Russell officiating. Inurnment will follow at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens in Energy. Visitation will be held from 5-8pm on Wednesday, September 27, 2006 at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home.
