Roberta (Maxine) Klope

Roberta Maxine Klope, 81, passed away on Monday, April 02, 2007 at 6:03 A.M. at Herrin Hospital. Maxine was born September 13, 1925 in Crab Orchard to Harley & Edith (Sprinheart) Brush. She married John N. Klope in Corinth, Mississippi on October 23, 1956 and together they shared over 41 years of marriage until his death on June 26, 1998. Maxine was a member of Ferrell Baptist Church. She retired from GTE where she had worked as a telephone operator. Maxine is survived by Brother, Harley Brush, Jr. and wife Daphene of Marion, Three sisters, Shirley Martin of Marion, Ina Absher and husband Orie of Chatham, Illinois and Myrna Litton and husband Tom of Marion. Sister-in-law Betty Klope of Harrisburg, several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews. Preceded by Parents and husband John Klope. Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 4, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion with Rev. Floyd Dorris officiating. Burial will follow in Maplewood Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5:00 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. For those who prefer memorials may be made to Shawnee Christian Nursing Home.
