Roger Alan Beltz “Beltzie”, age 64, went to meet Jesus face to face on Sunday, December 8, 2019 at 1:26 in the afternoon. This was after a short and courageous battle with cancer.
He followed after his mother, Shirley; his sister, Cindy and his uncle “Bump” Emery, who was like a father to him.
He left behind his life partner, Terri Copher; his first daughter, Trisha Beltz; Taya Copher “Goose”; who he raised and loved as his daughter, Ramonica Webb and Naomi Wright who he also considered his daughters and seven grandchildren.
He left behind some family members and many friends who he loved and considered family.
He enjoyed riding his Harley and spending time with his canine girls, Lily and Dee. In his later years, he surrendered his life to Jesus, which gave him the strength to fight his final battle at home where he wanted to be with the ones he loved.
His wishes were to be remembered as he was before getting sick. He wanted his body cremated and he did not want any services planned. He did not want to be a burden to anyone. He did not want anyone to feel pity, sadness, anger or greed at the end of his life.
He lived his life the way he wanted it from the beginning through the end. He is loved and will be missed and remembered by many.
“Tell everyone how lucky you were to have known him”
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the funeral home toward Rogers final wishes. Memorial donations will be accepted at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home/ 800 North Market St./ Marion, IL 62959.
