HERRIN -- Romilda J. Hundley, age 84, passed away at 4:27 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 10, 2011, at her home in Herrin.
Romilda was born in Herrin on December 10, 1926, the daughter of Charles and Estella (Marshall) Scerena. She married Isaac Hundley in Herrin on March 27, 1950. Together they shared forty years of marriage, until his passing on December 5, 1990.
Mrs. Hundley had attended the Second Baptist Church in Herrin. She was a member of the Herrin Senior Citizens. In her younger years, Romilda enjoyed quilting, sewing and embroidery. Later in life, she grew to love crossword puzzles and board games.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, brother- Wendell Scerena, and sister- Eugenia Hutchison.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 14, at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin, with Mr. Daryl Winn officiating. Burial will follow at East Lawn Memorial Gardens in Energy. Visitation will be from 11 to 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
