Ronald Carl Lyell

Marion- RONALD CARL LYELL, age 65, of Marion, passed away at 1:40pm on Friday, October 17, 2008 at his home in Marion. Ronald was born in Johnston City on July 17, 1943, the son of Carl and Evelyn (White) Lyell. He married Diane Dunn in Herrin on August 27, 1995. Together, they shared thirteen years of marriage. Diane survives in Marion. Mr. Lyell had worked for Wilbert Vault Company in Herrin and more recently as a clerk at Amoco Gas Station in Marion. Ronnie was a previous member of the Herrin American Legion. Survivors include his wife- Diane (Dunn) Lyell of Marion, IL Five Children- David, Rhonda, Charles, Phillip, and Mary Lyell Fifteen Grandchildren One Great Grandson Sister and Brother-In-Law- Joyce and Max Mahan of Herrin, IL Brother and Sister-In-Law- John Paul and Bonnie Lyell of Marobar, FL Numerous aunts and uncles Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents, one grandson- Austin, and his twin brother- Donald Laverne Lyell. Funeral services will be held at 2pm on Wednesday, October 22, 2008 at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion with Rev. Don Colson officiating. Burial will follow at Oddfellows Cemetery in Marion. Visitation will be held from 12:00-2:00pm on Wednesday, October 22, 2008 at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home.
