Ronald (Chet) Calhoun

Lake of Egypt- RONALD (CHET) CALHOUN, age 73, of Lake of Egypt, died Thursday, December 30, 2010 at his home with family and friends present. Chet was born in Bismarck, IL on September 2, 1937, to Lowell and Ethel (Howery) Calhoun. He married RoseMarie C. Davidson on December 19, 1980 in Susanville, California. She survives at Lake of Egypt. Other survivors include his daughter- Terry Lee Calhoun of Oakwood, IL; four brothers, three sister-in-laws, two sisters, one brother-in-law, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, step-mother and brother. As per his wishes, his body will be cremated. There will be a celebration of Chets life on Saturday, January 8, 2011 from noon-3pm at Helens Banquet Facility, 3576 Route 37 South in Marion. Food and beverages will be served. Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion is assisting the family with arrangements. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois, the American Heart Association, or the American Cancer Society. Envelopes will be available at the celebration of life service.
