Marion – Ronald Walter England, Sr., 80, of Marion passed away on Friday, February 8, 2013 at 1:30 A.M. at the VA Medical Center.  Ronald was born November 2, 1932 in Poplar Bluff, Missouri the son of Walter and Francis (Hathaway) England.   Ronald’s working career was as an Insurance Agent and Manager of Singer Sewing Machines.  He proudly answered the call to serve his country in the Army during the Korean Conflict, he was a medic.  Survivors include; Son – Ronald Walter England, Jr. and wife Brenda of West Frankfort; Daughter – Lisa Fry of Marion; Three Grandchildren;  Belinda Frye of Pinckneyville;  John England of Tamaroa;  Eric Fry of Marion;  Five Great Grandchildren;   Cody Frye;   Mercedes Frye;   Preston Frye;   Amanda England;   Dalton England; One Great Great Grandchild – Paycen; Brother – Darrell Shemwell; Sister – Jenny Shemwell;   Preceded by his Parents, Son – Michael Eugene England  Funeral services will be Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at 1 P.M. at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home with Pastor Wayne Gardner officiating.  Burial will follow at County Line Cemetery.  Military rites will be presented by members of Marion’s VFW Post #1301, American Post #147 and the National Guard Flag Detail Unit.  Visitation will be Tuesday from Noon until the time of service at the funeral home.
