Rose Grim

Marion- Rose Grim, age 86, of Marion, passed away at 7:18pm on Saturday, July 26, 2014 at her daughter’s home in Marion. Rose was born in Saint Louis on June 10, 1928, the daughter of Joseph and Rose Hernandez. She married Hubert W. Grim, Sr. on November 3, 1928. He preceded her in death in July of 1997. Mrs. Grim was an active member of the Mexican Honorary Commission. Survivors include her daughter- Monica and Mike Sartin of Marion Son- Wesley and Shari Grim of Granite City Son- Ron and Tammy Grim of Union, MO Son- Michael Grim of Granite City Eleven Grandchildren- Jacob and Lindsey Sartin Kristin Martinez Thomas and Lauren Hughes Breanne Clyburn Ashlee, Alison, and Brien Grim Wyatt and Mitchell Grim Four Great Grandchildren- Landon, Carter, Adrian, and William Nieces and Nephews- Lisa Garcia Fensterman Sarita Midgley Laura Garcia Greg Garcia Numerous other out-of-state nieces and nephews She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sisters- Lucy Arrowsmith and Linda Garcia, and brother- Joseph Hernandez. Funeral services will be held at 10:15am on Friday, August 1, 2014 at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery where she will be laid to rest with her husband, Hubert.  Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion is assisting the family with final arrangements.
