Rose M. Parola

Herrin-Rose Mae Parola, 92, passed away 11:30 P.M., Monday, May 24, 2004 at Shawnee Christian Nursing Home. Rose was born May 12, 1912 in Vincennes, Indiana to Vivian & Mable (Crain) Whittington. She married Lester Parola on June 20, 1970 in Herrin. He preceded her in death on April 10, 2001. Rose was retired, having worked at Allen Industries in Herrin as a laborer. She was of the protestant faith. She was a member of the VFW in Metropolis. Survivors Include: Daughter & Son In Law: Judy & Charles Foster of Herrin Grandson: Charles Foster, Jr. of Memphis, TN. Granddaughter: Monica Foster of Dallas, TX. Granddaughter & husband: Lora & Chris Eitzenhefer of Lenzburg, IL. Granddaughter: Melanie Norris of Herrin Seven Great Grandchildren: Kortnie & Kyle White of Lenzburg, IL. Emily Eitzenhefer of Lenzburg Sydney, Justin, Kayla Norris of Herrin Jessica Foster of Memphis, TN. Beloved Dog: Rusty She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two daughters, Doris June Crain & Vicky Ann Garcia. Funeral Services will be 11:00 A.M., Friday, May 28, 3004 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home with Rev. Don Colson officiating. Burial will follow at East Lawn Memorial Gardens in Energy.
