Rose Mary Miskelley

Rose Mary Miskelley, 82, passed away on Monday, January 30, 2012 at 4:10 P.M. at her home surrounded by her loving family. Rose Mary was born June 1, 1929 in Pittsburg the daughter of Gene and Daisy (Dunaway) Arnold. She married Troy Bob Miskelley on January 24, 1948 in Pittsburg and together they have shared 64 years of marriage. She was a homemaker and a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Poordo. Troy and Rose Mary provided a home for 52 foster children over the years. Rose Mary was very loved and will be missed by all. Survivors include her; Husband Troy Bob Miskelley of Pittsburg Three sons; Stanley Miskelley and wife Maria of Pittsburg Rickey Miskelley of Pittsburg David Miskelley of OFallon, Missouri Two Daughters; Patricia Bargo and husband Bruce of Pittsburg Jane Elders and husband Steve of Colp Fourteen Grandchildren; Lee Miskelley Michael Miskelley Eva Lawrence Crystal Knight and husband Larry Jessica Travis and husband Mark April Miskelley Kristina Miskelley Tiffany Short and husband James Jeffrey Bargo Kimberly Marks and husband Brad Bryan Elders and wife Amy Brandon Elders and fianc Joanie Eaton Kelley Miskelley Darrin Miskelley Twenty Eight Great Grandchildren Sister Jeanette Hill of Thompsonville Preceded by her Parents, Step-Father Frank Camden, Brothers Theron Arnold, Charles Arnold and Sister Betty Davis Barton Funeral services will be Thursday, February 2, 2012 at 1 P.M. at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home with Pastor Tim Land officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Pleasant Poordo Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 5 to 8 P.M. at the funeral home. For those who prefer memorials may be made to the Alzheimers Association or Hospice of Southern Illinois.
