Herrin- Rosetta Marlow, 93, of Herrin, passed away at 10:50 PM, Friday, January 6, 2012 at Fathers Heart Ministries in Johnston City.
Rosetta was born on April 18, 1918 in Herrin to Angelo and Felicia (DeBernardi) Marlow.
She was a career woman who never married. She began working in the Ordill area during WWII and then worked as an administrator for the Egyptian Heights Housing Authority in Herrin. Next she worked as a teller for several years at the Herrin Security Bank before retiring from the Veterans Administration Hospital as an administrative assistant.
She was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Herrin. She was a former member of the Daughters of Mary and the Business and Professional Womens Club. In her spare time she enjoyed travel and bowling with friends.

Niece- Carol Murray and husband Jack of Herrin
Niece- Virginia Hecker and husband John of Boston, MA
Nephew- John Lee Marlow and wife Laura of St. Louis, MO
Nephew- Franco Salmoiraghi of Honolulu, HI

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers- Mike and Frank Marlow and sisters- Ann Salmo and Virginia Taylor.
A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, January 14, 1012 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Herrin. Monsignor Ken Schaefer will officiate. Burial will follow at San Carlo Cemetery in Herrin. Visitation will be from 9:00 Am until time of service, Saturday at the gathering room of the church. Funeral arrangements were made at Johnson-Hughes funeral Home in Herrin.
