Roy V Gold

Roy V. Gold, 97, of Marion, passed away November 23, 2011 at 10:14pm at the Marion Rehab and Nursing Center. Mr. Gold was born on May 17th, 1914, in Buncombe IL, the son of Charles and Nancy (Shepherd) Gold. He married Nancy M. Baker in 1936; and she preceded him in death on January 1st, 1988. He married Elva (Rossman) Cash on September 3rd, 1988 in Marion Illinois. She survives of Marion. Mr. Gold worked as a registered L.P.N at Downey V.A. Hospital and worked at Fountains Nursing Home for over 10 years. He was a member of the Parish Park Baptist Church. Survivors include: Wife: Elva M. Grandson Richard Gold and wife Joyce of Cunningham TN Granddaughter Michelle Swan and husband Brad of Marion IL Grandson Steve Gold and companion Lori of Ameren IL Grandson Jason Gold of Beach Park IL Step Grandson Andrew Bethel and wife Erica of Danville IL Step Granddaughter Megan Flajs and husband Zack of Avon IN Step Grandson Tyler Glodjo and wife Danielle of Jackson TN Step Grandson Chad Cash and Brittanie Erhardt of Marion IL Step Grandson Noah Cash of Marion, IL Step Grandson Brian Antonini and wife Lisa of Florence, KY Step Grandson Eric Antonini and wife Kasey of Danville, IL Step Granddaughter Wendy Milligan and husband Jason of Troy, IL Step Grandson Jamey Cash and wife Adriana of Crestwood, KY Step Grandson Dustin Cash and wife Barbie of Desloge, MO 6 Great Grandchildren 8 Step- Great Grandchildren 2 Great- great Grandchildren Mr. Gold was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter Margorie Gold, his brother Guy B. Gold, grandson Mark Gold, an infant grandson and daughter-in-law Bettie Gold. Funeral services for Mr. Gold will be held on Monday, November 28th, 2011 at 11am at the Mitchell Hughes Funeral Home in Marion. Burial will follow at Ebenezer Hall Cemetery. Rev. Danny Cash and Rev. David Bethel will officiate. There will be a visitation from 5-8pm on Sunday, November 27th at the funeral home.
