Marion Ruble Pierce, 94, of Marion passed away on Friday, April 02, 2010 at 4:38 A.M. at Parkway Manor. Ruble was born October 19, 1915 in Lowes, Kentucky the daughter of William E. & Jewell (Burchard) Barriger. She married James Lowe on December 28, 1935 in Metropolis and he preceded her in death, she later married Jackson Pierce in Corinth, Missippi on September 20, 1950 and he preceded her in death on September 27, 1983. She was a member of the Marion Church of Christ and had worked at the DuQuoin State Bank. Survivors include: Brother Cloyd P. Barriger and wife Margaret of Paducah, Kentucky Niece Jennie Doane and husband Michael of Lexington, Kentucky Niece Lisa Dreher and husband Scott of Nashville, Tennessee Great Niece Stacey Markahn Great Nephew Justin Dreher Great Great Nephews Dominick & Devon Markahn Preceded by Parents, Husbands James Lowe and Jackson Pierce Funeral services will be Sunday, April 4, 2010 at 2:30 P.M. at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion with Bill Brandstatter officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Hill Cemetery in Sesser. Visitation will be Sunday from 12:30 P.M. until the time of service at the funeral home. For those who prefer memorials may be made to the Marion Church of Christ. Envelopes will be available and accepted at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home, 800 North Market Street, Marion, Illinois 62959.
