Rudy A. (Butch) Scott III

Marion Rudy A. "Butch" Scott III, 59, of Gillespie, Illinois formerly of Marion, passed away on Tuesday, March 7, 2006 at 10:30 A.M. at his home in Gillespie. Rudy was born July 10, 1946. He was the son of Howard and Juanita Murrow. Rudy served with the U.S. Air Force and was a Vietnam Veteran. He was a member of the American Legion, Eagles and Veterans of Foreign Wars. Throughout his lifetime he performed with various bands. His most recent being the First Flick Band. His love for performing music was a lifelong passion. Rudy is survived by: Parents Howard and Juanita Murrow of Marion Two Daughters; Tammy Schram and husband Steve of Fort Mills, South Carolina Jennifer Gosha and husband Todd of Herrin Two Sons; Ryan Scott of South Carolina Tim Scott and wife Christi of Chicago Four Grandchildren; Mackenzie and Joseph Schram of Fort Mills, South Carolina Gavyn and Jase Gosha of Herrin Two Brothers; Ronald W. Scott of Marion John Murrow and wife Teri of Marion Sister Renee VanPelt and husband Kevin of Pinckneyville Three nieces and one nephew Special Companion Nancy Hopper of Gillespie Preceded by- Father Rudy A. Scott II, Wife Vickie Scott, Infant son Randall Aaron Scott and Infant Grandson Steven Schram Funeral services will be Saturday, March 11, 2006 at 1:00 P.M. at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion with Rev. Frankie Starrick officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. Military rites will be performed by Marions VFW Post #1301, American Legion Post #147 and Litchfields VFW Post #3912. Visitation will be Saturday from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service at the funeral home.
