Ruth Mae Pearson

Herrin- RUTH MAE PEARSON, age 86, of Herrin, passed away at 8:30am on Friday, July 6, 2007 at Helia Healthcare Center in Energy. Ruth was born in West Frankfort on May 12, 1921, the daughter of Daniel and Mary (Carson) Thompson. She married Joseph William Pearson in West Frankfort on May 29, 1948. He preceded her in death on December 26, 1983. Mrs. Pearson was a homemaker. She was of Methodist faith. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law- Mary & David Griffith of Herrin, IL Two sons and daughters-in-law- Tom and Sue Pearson of Albuquerque, NM Joe and Candi Pearson of Brookville, FL Four grandchildren- Tom Pearson Jr. of Albuquerque, NM Brandon Pearson of San Antonio, TX Brandy Pearson of San Antonio, TX Kyle Griffith of Herrin, IL Two Great Grandchildren Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, her husband- Joseph, four brothers and one sister. As per Ruths wishes, her body will be cremated. A private family service will be held at a later date and her ashes inurned with her husband, Joseph, at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, Texas.
