Ruth Pike

Marion Ruth Pike, 99, of Flagstaff, Arizona formerly of Marion, passed away on Saturday, October 1, 2011 at 6:37 P.M. at North Land Hospice House in Flagstaff, Arizona. Ruth was born May 10, 1912 in Stoddard County, Missouri the daughter of Clyde and Stella (Brown) Skaggs. She married Leo OBrien in 1930 in Benton and he preceded her in death. She later married Glen Pike in Mississippi on June 22, 1957 and together they shared over 36 years of marriage. He preceded her in death on July 18, 1993. She was a member of Warder Street Baptist Church. Ruth was a homemaker and she had worked at Kroger and later at Sangamo Electric. Survivors include; Son James OBrien of Marion Daughter Kathleen Irwin and husband Jerry of Flagstaff, Arizona Seven Grandchildren; Ellen Todraff Cindy Lee Mike OBrien Linda Hill and husband Jim Jeff Irwin and wife Stephanie Joy Irwin Jimmie Irwin Ten Great Grandchildren; Cary Lee Megan Brown Mark OBrien Jason OBrien Tyson Hill Rachel Hill Keri Hill Steve Irwin Alexandra Irwin Kylee Irwin Great Great Grandson Simon Brown Preceded by her Parents, Husbands Leo OBrien and Glen Pike, Son Leo C. OBrien and Grandson Robert OBrien Funeral services will Monday, October 10, 2011 at 2 P.M. at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home with Paul Langan officiating. Burial will follow in Egyptian Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Monday from Noon until the time of service at the funeral home.
