Ruth Raines Suchocki

Ruth Raines Suchocki, 90, of Marion passed away on Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at 8:16 pm at Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion. Ruth was born in Cairo on May 10, 1927 to Lon and Minnie (Hesson) Raines. She was united in marriage with George J. Suchocki on November 27, 1954, in Cairo.  They were married for 32 years before his death on March 10, 1986. Mrs. Suchocki was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church of Marion. She retired from Diagraph Corporation in Herrin after thirty-eight years of service. Ruth is survived by her sister-in-law, Betty Raines of Southaven, Mississippi and nephew, Byron Raines, his wife Elaine and their family of Horn Lake, Mississippi. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and three brothers – Thurman, Willis and Lloyd Raines. Funeral services will be Friday, July 28, 2017 at 10 am at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home with Monsignor Thomas Flach officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery.  Visitation will be Friday from 9 am until the time of service at the funeral home. For those who prefer memorials may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church.
