Marion Samuel Sam Monroe Stilley, 92, passed away on Tuesday, June 06, 2006 at 6:55 A.M. at Parkway Manor in Marion.
Sam was born May 8, 1914 to Monroe & Mamie (Swafford) Stilley in Williamson County. He married Edith Thompson on October 5, 1940 in Jackson, MO and together they shared over 55 years of marriage until her death on January 15, 1996.
Sam was a livestock dealer. He was the real estate developer of Spring Gardens and Lake Tacoma. Sam has been a member of 3rd Baptist Church of Marion for over 50 years, where he had also served as a Deacon.

Preceded by Parents, Wife Edith, Sister Georgia Harris and Four Brothers Leslie Stilley, Curtis Stilley, Dude Stilley and Roland Stilley, Foster Sister June Crain Norris.
Funeral services will be Monday, June 12, 2006 at 11:00 A.M. at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion with Rev. Dennis Pulley and Rev. Scott Kallem officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 5:00 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
For those who prefer memorials may be made to the 3rd Baptist Church Building Fund. Envelopes will be available at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home.
