Samuel Lee Milazzo

Freeman Spur- SAMUEL LEE MILAZZO, age 63, of Freeman Spur, passed away at 10:38am on Thursday, December 4, 2008 at his residence in Freeman Spur. Samuel was born on August 3, 1945 in Yakima, Washington, the son of Leonard and Christine (Null) Milazzo. He married Mary Jo Layne July 23, 2001 in Marion. She preceded him in death on June 7, 2008. Mr. Milazzo was retired from the wild life refuge and was currently working for the Freeman Spur water department. He was a member of the Herrin Masonic Lodge and was a United States Army Veteran. Survivors include- Mother and Step-Father- Christine Mutchek & husband Jack of Freeman Spur Four sons- Michael Milazzo of Oregon Derrick Milazzo of Oregon Michael Milazzo of Parker, AZ Daniel Milzaao of Colorado One daughter- Leanora Milazzo of Texas Seven Grandchildren Brother-In-Law- Virgil Pool of Woodlawn, IL Loving Companion- Pam Mooneyham of Freeman Spur, IL Two nephews- Larry and Susie Pool of Woodlawn, IL Kirk Pool of Mount Vernon, IL Niece- Christine and Gary Farina of Aken, South Carolina He was preceded in death by his wife- Mary Jo, his father-Leonard, one son-Robert Milazzo, and one sister- Dorothy Mae Pool. A memorial service will be held at 5:00 PM, Tuesday, December 9, 2008 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin. Rev. Virgil Pool will officiate. A time of visitation will be from 4:00 PM until time of service, Tuesday at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin.
