SANDRA JOAN (SANDY) CRUTCHER Carterville-Sandra Joan (Sandy) Crutcher, 69, died 1:40 A.M., Saturday, December 6, 2003 at her home. Sandy was born September 22, 1934 in Carrbondale to A.C. Doc & Clara (Wallace) Walker. She married Robert Bob Cruthcher on April 5, 1958 in Marion. He survives. She was a retired nurse from Williamson County Program on Aging.. She taught in the exercise progam for arthritic people at W.C.P.A.. She was Parrish nurse at church. She was volunteer for Southern Illinois Hospice. She was a member of First Methodist Church in Carterville. She was active with the Arthritis Foundation and also helped with the Health Conference at John A. Logan College. She referred to herself as one busy grandma. Survivors Include: Two Sons: Michael R. Crutcher & wife Ruth of Carterville David S. Crutcher & wife Angie of Lawrenceville, GA. Two Daughters: Terri J. Walker & husband Darrell of Herrin Melissa O. Ingram of San Jose, CA. Eight Grandchildren: Austin Reid, Matthew Crutcher, Nikki Luffman, Mikeala Crutcher Brad Walker, Kyle Walker, Cameron Crutcher, Trent Crutcher Sister: Jeanette Warren & husband Zach of Otsego, MI. Special Longtime Friend: Mabel Trig Griffin of Marion Two Aunts: Virginia Ellis of Marion Wilma Wallace of Marion Sister In Law: Robbie Wring of Henderson, KY. Wanda & Steve Nelms of Dorchester, S.C. Glenda Walker of Newburg, IN. Preceded by her parents. Memorial services will be held 6:00 P.M., Tuesday, December 9, 2003 at First United Methodist Church in Carterville with Rev. Stephen Palmer officiating. She will be buried next to her parents at a a private service. There will be no visitation. Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
