Sharon Kay Keebler

Sharon Kay Keebler, age 61, of Bush, Illinois, passed away Friday, May 20, 2022 at Memorial Hospital in Carbondale, Illinois.

Sharon was born April 13, 1961 in Kentucky, a daughter of William and Carolyn O'Brien and Ted and Shirley (Rhodes) Dunnavant. She married the love of her life, Rick Keebler, Jr., in 1993 in Bush. Together, they shared more than thirty years of wonderful memories. Prior to her retirement, Sharon had worked at Aisin in Marion for many years. She spent her last, and most important years, caring for her grandchildren. They loved their mawmaw very much. She was a huge part of their lives. She will be deeply missed by all those that knew and loved her.

She is survived by her husband Rick Keebler Jr.; three children, Virgil O'Brien, Brandie Holland and Michael Needham, and Amber Holland; five grandchildren, Billy Holland III, Garret Bean, Kayla Parina, Azlyn Needham, and McKala Needham; her mother, Carolyn O'Brien; four siblings, Terry Strunk, Margaret Jarvis, Roger O'Brien, and William O'Brien; and her Great Grandchild, Truss Needham.

She is preceded in death by her mother Shirley (Rhodes) Dunnavant, father William O'Brien, father Ted Dunnavant, mother-in-law Gail Zettler, daughter-in-law RaiDean Jenkel-O'Brien, son-in-law Dustin Bean; and three siblings, Mary Beth Strunk, David O'Brien, and Mark Dunnavant.

Visitation will be Wednesday, May 25th, 2022 from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, May 25, 2022, 1:00 PM at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home with Rev. Linda Godfrey officiating. Burial will follow at Blairsville Cemetery.
