Shirley Joan Turner

Marion-Shirley Joan Turner, 83, passed away on Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at 1:30am at Heartland Regional Medical Center. Shirley was born on July 13, 1935 in Marion to William and Essie Faye (Shaw) Launius.  She married Junior Lee Turner on February 24, 1953 in Lincoln, IL.  He survives of Marion. Shirley was a homemaker and helped her husband at Turner TV. Survivors include: Husband-Junior Lee Turner of Marion Daughter-Leisa Joan Starrick of Marion Son-Lonnie Lee and Kay Turner of Johnston City Son-Jason Andrew Turner and Lisa Warren of Marion Seven grandchildren Seven great grandchildren Brother in laws-Steve and Wynona Turner of Harrisburg and Bill and Shirley Turner of Harrisburg She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Scott Logan Turner; sisters, Wanda, Helen and Bonnie and brother, John. A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 26, 2018 at 2pm at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home with Rev. John Howat officiating.  Burial will be at New Springs Grove Cemetery.  Visitation will be on Friday from 1pm until the time of service at the funeral home.
