Shirley Delaine (Klope) Treat, 66, of Creal Springs, died at 7:50 P.M. on Tuesday, August 7, 2001. She was born June 25, 1935, in Williamson County to Levi & Maude (Beasley) Klope, who preceded her in death. She was married on
July 2, 1955 to James Robert Treat at Arnold View Freewill Baptist Church. He preceded her in death on March 12, 1983. She spent all of her life raising her four sons and helping others.
Survivors include four sons and three daughters-in-law, Robert & Laurie Treat of Stonefort, William & Joyce Treat of Creal Springs, Paul & Pam Treat of Carrier Mills, Carroll Treat of Creal Springs and special friend, Stephanie Sloan; four grandchildren, Jamie, Jodie, Billy, and Quaide Treat; five step-grandchildren, Derrick, Joshua, Justin, Justina, and Jason; one great-grandson, Blayde; one brother and sister-in-law, James & Jeanette Klope of Creal Springs; five brothers-in-law, Ken, Ed, Harry & Don Treat and Willard Douglas; seven sisters-in-law, Doris, Mary Belle, Sue & Brenda Treat, Joann Cluster, Mary Williams, Kathern Douglas; nieces and nephews, Lee Anne & Terry Wood and children, Michael & Lisa Klope, and twenty-three other nieces and nephews; a very special relative and friend, Katherine Beasley, and numerous other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death were three brothers-in-law, Charles (Bill) Treat, Dave Williams & George Cluster, and one sister-in-law, Judith Treat.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 10th, 2001 at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion. Revs. Brett Beasley & Don Childers will be officiating. Burial will be at Ferrell Cemetery near Crab Orchard, where she attended Ferrell Baptist Church regularly. Friends may call from 5:00-9:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 9th at Mitchell-Hughes. Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society or to the VNA Hospice of Eldorado.
