Shirley L. Hunroe

Cambria- Shirley L. Hunroe, 78, of Cambria, passed away at 1:00 AM, Thursday, November 18, 2010 at her home in Cambria. Shirley was born on March 28, 1932 in Urbana, IL to George A. & Lillian (Maxwell) Thompson. She married Leroy Beckette and he preceded her in death on April 4, 1978. She married Kenneth Hunroe and he preceded her in death in 1980. She was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her friends and family. Survivors include- Son- Rev. Norman Melton of West Frankfort Son- Joseph Aguiler of Evansville Son- Stanley Aguiler of Cambria Daughter- Cora Holland and husband Richard of Bush Daughter- Patricia Jarvis of Cambria Daughter- Andrea Needham and husband Jamie of Cambria Twenty Grandchildren Forty Seven Great Grandchildren Two Great Great Grandchildren Brother- Richard Thompson & wife Helen of Austin, TX Several Nieces & Nephews She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, son- Arturo Aguiler, granddaughter- Jennifer Aguiler and two sisters and three brothers. The funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, November 22, 2010 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin. Her son- Rev. Norman Melton, will officiate. Burial will follow at Blairsville Cemetery in Blairsville. Visitation will be from 5-7:00 PM, Sunday, November 21, 2010 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin.
