Marion Shirley Dean Lamphere, 75, passed away on Monday, September 13, 2010 at 12:44 P.M. at Heartland Regional Medical Center.
Shirley was born December 27, 1934 in Creal Springs the daughter of William & Pearl (Needham) Murphy. She married Edward J. Dempsey in Southgate, California and he preceded her in death. She was later married to Lewis Lamphere and he survives in Marion.
She was a homemaker. Shirley was a member of the First Apostolic Pentecostal Church of Marion. She especially loved to bowl in her league at the Herrin Bowl.

Preceded by her Parents, First husband Edward Dempsey, Brothers Billy Joe Murphy and Bill Murphy, and Sister Alma Smith.
Funeral services will be Thursday, September 16, 2010 at 11 A.M. at the Marion First Apostolic Pentecostal Church with Rev. Ron Walls officiating. Burial will follow in Creal Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 5 8 P.M. at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home and on Thursday after 10 A.M. at the church.
