Stella D. White

Herrin- Stella Diana White, 90, of Herrin, passed away at 10:15 AM, Saturday, May 6, 2006 at the same home she was born in and lived her life. Stella was born on March 28, 1916 in Herrin to Emil & Domenica (Penoco) Mantovani. She married Eddie White on December 20, 1939 in Perryville, MO. He preceded her in death on September 30, 1991. She worked as a seamstress at Smoler Bros. in Herrin before retiring in April of 1978 from Allen Industries. Stella is survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one brother; Osire Mantovani. A graveside funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, May 9, 2006 at East Lawn Memorial Gardens in Herrin. Rev. Don Colson will officiate. A private family viewing will be held at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin. Friends are asked to meet directly at graveside.
