Stephen L. Hafliger

Herrin- Stephen Lynn Hafliger, 54, of Herrin, passed away at 2:00 PM, Friday, August 12, 1005 at his home. Stephen was born on February 28, 1951 in Springfield, IL to Riley & Lela (Stephens) Hafliger. He married Kathy (McKinney) Prince on July 8, 2005 in Marion. She survives of Herrin. Mr. Hafliger enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. SURVIVORS: Wife- Kathy Prince Hafliger- Herrin Step Daughter and son in law- Kenya & Jack Garner- Herrin Step son & daughter in law- Josh & Kelly Prince- Tovey, IL Step son- Larry Matthew Prince- Herrin Step Grandchildren: Haley & Hayden Prince- Tovey, IL Nevin Prince- Effingham Brother & sister in law- Don & Sandra Hafliger- Taylorville Niece- Sheri Caniff Niece- Debby Kiel- Taylorville Nephew- Jim Hafliger- Taylorville He was preceded in death by his parents. As per his wishes; Mr. Hafliger will be cremated. A memorial service will take place at a later date in Taylorville. Arrangements have been entrusted to Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin.
