Stephen T. Fike

Herrin- Stephen T. Fike, 62, of Herrin, passed away at 5:25 PM, Monday, August 15, 2011 at his home. He was a maintenance operator with the US Fish and Wildlife Service at the Crab Orchard Wildlife Refuge. Stephen was born on November 26, 1948 in Murphysboro to Thomas and Zenobia (Davis) Fike. He married Cathy Stampini on June 20, 1970 in Herrin. She lives in Herrin. He was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Herrin. Survivors include- Wife- Cathy Fike of Herrin Son- Jeffery Fike of Marion and friend Amber Mayfield Son- Eric Fike of Herrin Grandchildren: Destiney Dalcher of Carterville Corey Griffen of Johnston City Anthony Eubanks of West Frankfort Jacob Eubanks of West Frankfort Brother- James Fike and wife Sara of Dongola Sister- Janet Treece and husband Harry of Carterville Several nieces and nephews He was preceded in death by his parents. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorial arrangements were made at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin. Memorial donations are suggested to Hospice of Southern Illinois and will be accepted at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home/ 201 S. 13th St/ Herrin, IL 62948.
