Sue Montgomery

Herrin Sue Montgomery, 74, passed away on Sunday, April 8, 2007 at 7:30 A.M. at her daughters home in Herrin. Sue was born October 22, 1932 in Poplar Bluff, Missouri to Cassius Marcus and Edythe Alene (Bynum) Wolpers. She married Ellis R. Montgomery on April 24, 1954 in Jackson, Mississippi and together they shared over 52 years of marriage until his death on August 20, 2006. Sue was a homemaker. Sue is survived by her daughter Nancy Lindsey and husband Darren of Herrin. Grandson Zackery Lindsey of Herrin, Sister Joy Brown of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, Brother Jerry & Ninky Wolpers of Perry, Missouri, Sister-in-law Thelma Montgomery of Poplar Bluff, Missouri and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her Parents, Husband and Daughter Susan Montgomery. Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 11, 2007 at 2:00 P.M. at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin with Monsignor Ken Schaefer officiating. Burial will follow in Herrin City Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 6:00 9:00 P.M. at the funeral home. For those who prefer memorials may be given to Hospice of Southern Illinois. Envelopes will be available at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home.
