Loretta “Sue” Rich, age 78, of Johnston City, passed away at 1:26 p.m. on October 21, 2020 at her residence.
Sue was born on April 28, 1942 to the late Everett Malcom and Opal Marie (Ralls) Rich. Sue was a loving mother and grandmother and she had worked as a coal miner.
Sue is survived by her daughter, Loretta Diane (Ray A. Yacko) Frew of Carbondale; a son, David Edward (Christi) Frew of Marion; son, Roger Dale Jones of Marion; son, Jesse Martin Owens of Johnston City; son, Bobby Lester “Bobbo” Owens of Georgetown, Illinois; grandchildren, Bobby Dean Hayes Jr., Julia Stephanie (Tony) Frew-Lukenbill, Maegan Lynette Frew, James Howard (Silvania) Walsh, Jacob Joseph Walsh, Jerod Ray Walsh, Emily Rose Marie Jones, Samantha N. Owens, Tabitha Owens, Allie Owens, Madalynn G. Owens, Carter James Owens; great grandchildren, Alissa Riley Walsh, Alexzander Thomas Hayes, Benjamin Walsh, William Walsh, Lillian Walsh, Levi Walsh; three brothers, Jimmy Rich of Chicago, Lloyd “Hobie” Rich of Marion, Floyd “Chick” (Joyce) Rich of Creal Springs; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins and her fur babies, Lil Bit and Bullet.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two infant sons; seven brothers and one sister.
Funeral services will be held at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion on Monday, October 26, 2020 at 12:00 p.m. with Pastor Joe McRoy officiating. Burial will follow in Maplewood Cemetery in Marion.
Visitation will be held at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion on Monday, October 26, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service
Due to health concerns related to the COVID-19 virus, social distancing is advised and the wearing of masks is encouraged.
